EARLY ... SNOWY START ...

The trip started very early on Thursday the 16th of February. Departure was scheduled for 5:30 am. The bus was on time and waiting with members from communities north of Guelph (Fergus and Mt.Forest). Many chorus members and their guests were a little delayed as Guelph was experiencing a major winter storm. With CUPE workers on strike many of the city streets were not plowed. Every available taxi in the city was enroute to the departure point loaded with chorus members. None the less everyone made it to the Harcourt United Church parking lot. Once the bus was loaded and everyone settled we departed down Gordon Street / Highway 6 South. Just a little off schedule; but overshadowed by the fact we were on our way to the BIG APPLE. This was the culmination of a year of practice and fund raising. But finally the big day had come. New York city here we come! And as the saying goes: How do you get to Carnegie Hall - practice, practice, practice.
